Varsity Head Coach

Varsity Head Coach - Wes Gabrielsen

A native of Salem, Oregon, Wes Gabrielsen is in his fourth year as the head boy's tennis coach at McMinnville High School.  He previously served for one year as the assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs at Linfield College.  He also served for four summer sessions as an Assistant Tennis Professional at the Salem Tennis and Swim Club in Salem, Oregon. 

Gabrielsen was a four-year letterman in Tennis at Linfield College from 2004-2008.  He served as team captain in his senior season and was named the 2008 Northwest Conference Sportsman of the Year at the conclusion of his senior season.  Gabrielsen also lettered for four years at Sprague High School in tennis and soccer, where he was a member of the Olympian's 2004 Valley League Championship tennis team, and two state playoff soccer teams.  Gabrielsen remains active playing the game of tennis, as he is a member of several men's and mixed doubles division teams in USTA Team Tennis competition.  In 2010, his USTA 10.0 Mixed Doubles team finished 3rd at the USTA national tournament. 

Gabrielsen teaches social studies at McMinnville High School.
